I've always had a fascination with de Sade as well. That being said, I was of course in love with the movie Quills. I love the colours you've used here and the soft atmosphere they create around such a powerful man, almost embellishing him with a somber sort of grace. Delicate yet deadly. This is a +fav for me. Lovely technique and vision! We seem to share it.

I have favoured this because you have captured the romantic side of the fellow, as opposed to the portrait by greenfeed [link] which highlights his more sinister nature.
